My current research is pluralistic within the field of Information Systems and ranges from design science research to research that studies and develop knowledge on meaning and meaningfulness in Immersive Virtual Realities. I explore the design of immersive learning environments for meaningful learning and the implications of immersive safety training for increased sustainability in industrial contexts. Additionally, my research theorizes ‘space’ in Information Systems from a philosophical perspective, as well as employs a phenomenological approach on how ‘escapism’ can generate meaningful virtual reality experiences. Keywords: Information Systems, Immersive Virtual Reality, Meaningful Learning, Space, Escapism, Sustainability.
