Exploration of hiring discrimination and possibilities for intervention through eye-tracking

Project description

Ethnic discrimination is pervasive in society. This project investigates the mechanisms and processes of ethnic and racial discrimination in hiring processes by examining employment decisions using eye-tracking. University West is project partner with focus on investigating how to objectively measure racial bias and specifically how to potentially reduce it by intervening in how documents are literally perceived. The general approach for the intervention is to deploy subtle gaze direction techniques.
